Fashion Focus : Ascot Ladies Day

One of the most fashion fabulous events of the year, today was Ladies day at Royal Ascot. Aside from winning the odd bet - the most exciting part of our day was frock-watching, and choosing the best and worst looks of the day.

As well as the Ascot classic of colourful florals, this year's Royal week also saw plenty of lace dresses, in vibrant hues from cobalt to coral. Many racegoers opted for one of summer's hottest (excuse the pun!) trends - a long glamourous black dress, and added a splash of colour with their hats. With huge plumes, and peacock feathers being the most popular embellishment of choice, as with every ladies day we were treated to a spectacle of designs.

With the fashion police (or Ascot Dress Code Assistants officially!) keeping watch on how you dress for Royal Ascot, be sure to remember the dress code rules; only a couple of inches above the knee, shoulders covered, no bare midriffs, and the hat base must be at least four inches for us girls. How on earth did Kimberley Garner get in then, we have to wonder?!

For outfit inspiration, you know what to do! Take out your phone, get a picture of a look that you love, and use Trendabl to findSimilar, just like we've done with one of the dresses from Ladies day today:

What were your favourite trends from Ladies day this year?
