Michael Kors, the quintessential American designer always packs in the stars no matter where he shows up. During this year’s New York Fashion Week, Jada Pinkett Smith, Mary J. Blige, Olivia Munn and Jessica Chastain all came to support. “He designs clothes for real women. They go so easily from day to evening, from real life to the red carpet. And this dress has pockets. I love pockets!” gushed Chastain pre-show.
Right before NYFW, Michael Kors tweeted: "It's a summer night, you're in a convertible, the wind is in your hair, you're beautiful & in love." We think that tweet was a sign of why his fashion show became the most retweeted show during NYFW 2014.
As the same as he described, Michael Kors' Spring/Summer 2015 all-access catwalk show at NYFW Wednesday provided plenty of pretty summery fare for us
to fantasize over, with polished floral dresses and chic separates that had us
dreaming about a summer hanging with the Martha's Vineyard set.
"Optimistic chic” is the theme of his show. We can see why: graphic
updates on checks and gingham in bold hues, gorgeous florals in "shades of
daffodil, wisteria, lawn and geranium" and outfits that looked as comfy as
they did elegant.
Do you have a particular
favourite of the show? FindSimilar love that boyish button-downs and casual
white tees teamed with delicately embroidered sheer floral skirts with 3D
blooms that struck the perfect balance between preppy daytime look and sexy
evening-wear. Kors also knows how to make us fall head over heels with his
accessories, so those brown leather satchels slung on models' shoulders will
likely be a hit next season.
Here are some of the looks snapped from the
show, we want to steal the style and shop the looks straight away.
